Adjusting strobe power
- [Instructor] Now naturally when you're shooting with strobes you want to be able to adjust the strobe power, that is the amount of light that you're casting onto the scene because naturally you don't want to underexpose or overexpose your shot. And so tell me Hergin, what are the options here? - [Hergin] There's basically two options when it comes to adjusting strobe power. The first one we're going to discuss is called TTL which stands fro thru-the-lens. Now this is not a new technology, this has been around since the film days, and basically what happens is the camera will determine the amount of strobe light that we need to put out. And it'll do this either through its pop up flash or through some additional electronics involved. Now this doesn't mean that you have to go with the camera's recommendation, you can either adjust it on the strobe or in the camera and we're going to discuss both those options later on.
