- Again, I've used Bridge to navigate to the Chapter 3 Exercise Files. For Adjustment Layers, let's look at this really colorful image here. I want to show you some things you might not know about within the adjustment layers, some really powerful tools. One, the Curves Adjustment Layer, obviously something you've used before. But, what we want to do here is, rather than use the traditional method of applying a Curve, is to use this on on-image tool. If you haven't used this, it's really neat. You can just pick a tone, click on it, drag down to make it darker, drag up to make it lighter. Let's say I want that blue tone darker, and maybe I want this highlight tone, in the background, brighter. I've created an S-shaped Curve, without really knowing anything about Curves at all, in a much more intuitive way than some of the other tools that we might use.
