Age a photograph by adding reticulation

- This movie is about the Reticulation filter. Now, Reticulation is a defect in traditional film photography. It's a leaf-like pattern on the surface of a photo and like noise, it's considered to be something that you typically want to avoid but it does give the photo a historic quality, so you can use it creatively. Here's my finished version. And here is my beginning version. I'll come to the background lab and convert it to a Smart Object. And then come to the Filter menu and to Sketch and Reticulation. Reticulation, being one of the Sketch filters, uses your foreground and background colors. And I could if I wanted to tint my photo, which I actually do, I could choose a different foreground color. But I'm going to apply it as black and then we'll add the tinting in a separate step. So, to restore these values to their default, I'll hold down Command or Control. And in this case I want to reduce the density and maybe back off on the foreground level and increase the background…
