Aligning one layer to another

- [Narrator] In this movie, we're going to turn our attention away from text for just a moment as I show you how to align layers inside Photoshop. Whether they're text layers, or not. So what we want to do is build up this postage stamp and get everybody in the right position. So let's say, for starters, I want to align this photograph of a damselfish inside of this stamp. Well I'll go ahead and click on the Damselfish layer here inside the Layers panel, and then I'll Shift-click on the stamp layer so that they're both selected. Now then, you can get to the alignment icons by selecting the top tool in the Toolbox which is the Move tool, and then you'll see these various alignment icons up here in the options bar. So let's say I want to center the fish inside the stamp. If I click on the Align Vertical Centers option I'm going to move both layers, which is not what I want. The same will happen if I click on the Align Horizontal Centers. That puts the stamp together, but it puts it…
