- [Instructor] Alright, these next few videos are devoted to what we're calling the anatomy of a shot, and it's all about exactly what happens during the process of capturing an underwater photograph. Now we're going to be taking a look at different lighting scenarios, starting with Part One here, ambient light only. So we start things off with the sunlight coming through the water and hitting our little octopus. And the octopus will throughout be a demonstration of the subject of our photograph. So as I mentioned earlier on, we get that color loss underwater, so that's why our octopus, which is actually white, is blue right now, because all it's being lit by is that filtered sunlight or ambient light. So now we're going to introduce our camera. So we see that sunlight, striking the octopus, bouncing off the octopus and heading towards our camera. So that ambient light is going to pass through the front lens element, and it's going to pass through the aperture, and it's going to get…
