- [Instructor] Next, we will work with layer styles to enhance the text and vector shapes in this design. You can apply a layer style to any layer or group in Photoshop, except adjustment layers. I'll open up my swipe up group. And from here, you'll see my text layer and my rectangle layer. To apply a layer style select the layer, then go into the fx icon and select Blending Options to bring up the Layer Style window. To make sure that we're all looking at the same thing, you can click on this fx icon and make sure to set the list to default. You can either create your own layer styles, or go into the Styles tab and select any other of these presets. You can click on any preset to apply it to your layer. The one that I'll use is found under the 3D folder. Select this layer style on the right, the blue one and apply that layer style to your design.
