Applying an Inner Shadow

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to create the effect of letters that are carved or somehow recessed into the background using an inner shadow effect. So, I'll start off by selecting the kobicha layer here, which is named after the shade of brown. And then, just so that we can really see the shadow as we apply it, I'm going to drop the fill opacity to just 20% by pressing Shift + 2, like so. And that's going to make the letters very translucent indeed. I'm also going to burn 'em into the background a little bit by changing the blend mode from Normal to Multiply here in the upper-left corner of the Layers panel. Or, I could have just as easily pressed Shift + Alt + M, or Shift + Option + M on the Mac, and, as you can see, that darkens things up ever so slightly. Alright, now I'm going to drop down to the FX icon at the bottom of the Layers panel, and I'm going to choose Inner Shadow. So, I want to make this clear.
