Applying blend modes to layers and groups

- [Instructor] There's an important difference between applying blend modes to individual layers versus applying blend modes to layer groups. So let's take a moment and look at this document. I have one layer here that has these four big blue circles on it. And then above that, I have four different layer groups and they all contain the same three layers. So there's the bowling ball as well as the large pin and the small pin. I'll leave the original layer group the way it is, and then use the disclosure triangle in order to view the contents of the second layer group. For this group, I'll select all three of the layers. And then on the layers panel, I'll change the blend mode to Multiply. We can see that all of the layers, starting with the ball is being multiplied with a pin, which is being multiplied with the pin below that.
