Applying a dynamic adjustment layer

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you the better way to apply Brightness/Contrast as a dynamic adjustment layer. I'll go ahead and switch over to this overly bright image, which I captured on a different dye, for what that's worth. Now, you have a couple of options when creating an adjustment layer. One is to drop down to this black and white circle at the bottom of the layers panel. And notice that when you hover over it, it says Create New Fill or Adjustment Layer. Click on it to see a popup menu that begins with three fill layers, for now you can ignore those, and then moves on to Brightness/Contrast, which is the first of many adjustment layers, which include most of the color adjustments you can apply in Photoshop. Another way to work is to bring up the adjustments panel, which you get by going to the Window menu and choosing the Adjustments command, in which case you'll see each type of adjustment layer represented by an icon, starting with this very first icon…
