Applying filter effects inside a selection

- Hello and welcome to another episode of Photo Tools Weekly. The series where I share with you once a week, a tool or tip or technique which will help you to improve your photographs. Alright well in this weeks episode we will turn our attention towards Photoshop filters. We won't be using filters in a typical way. Rather, I want to look at how we can make a selection or create a mask, and apply a filter to a limited area of a photograph. We'll be working with two different photographs and take a look at three approaches. So without further delay, let's dive right in, here goes. The first approach that we'll be taking to appling a filter to a specific area of a photograph involves working with multiple layers. So here what we'll do with this image is we'll go ahead and copy our layer. We can do that by clicking and dragging this to the new layer icon. Then I'll name this new layer Filter. Next we'll choose one of our tools to make a selection of the area that we want to protect. One…
