- [Narrator] Photoshop has a number of built in non-destructive effects; including drop shadows and overlays as well as strokes, which can be applied to a variety of different kinds of layers. So, in this document, I have a single layer and there is transparency behind it. But, in order to make the drop shadow a little bit more visible, I'm going to toggle off the transparency by choosing "my preferences" and then "transparency" and "gamut." I'll change the grid size to none and click "okay." And even though the background now looks white, there is indeed transparency there. All right, let's add our drop shadow to the image by clicking on the "effects" icon, and then choosing "drop shadow." In the layer "style dialog," I'm going to click to reset the drop shadow to the default, and then, we can use all of these different options to customize the drop shadow. I can increase the opacity, but we really can't see the drop…
