Applying nondestructive distortions

- [Narrator] In this movie, I'll show you how to apply non-destructive four point distortions, which if nothing else, are a whole lot of fun. Now, distortions fall into a special category of transformations inside Photoshop. Notice if I scroll up to the top of the layer's panel, and I click on the text layer and turn it on, we have some text that's set in Adobe Caslon Pro. If that font is not installed on your system, you'll get a font warning, but that's never anything you have to worry about inside Photoshop, as long as you don't intend to edit that text layer. But notice, with the layer selected, I can go to the edit menu and can choose the free transform command. That's totally fine. And I can access most of the commands inside the transform sub menu, including, scale, rotate and so forth, but distort and perspective are dimmed. They're off limits when working with text layers.
