Artboard essentials

- [Instructor] Artboards are a unique type of document in Photoshop that enable us to create and store multiple canvases within a single document. In this video, we're going to see how convenient it is to use artboards when creating and saving both the front and the back of a postcard in a single document, but I've also used them to create similar, but different-size versions of an image to publish to different social media sites. I'll choose Create New, and I could use one of the presets under the web category here, but that's going to change a lot of the settings here, like the pixels, and also the color profile, so instead, I'm just going to make a document that's four by six, at 300 pixels per inch, and I'll make sure that the artboard option is checked. I'll keep it as 8-Bit, as Adobe RGB, and click Create. We can see in the layers panel that we have a new type of layer group, and that's an artboard group. It…
