- [Instructor] To begin, it's essential that we understand what aspect ratios are, how they relate to the cameras that we're using and how we follow up and print from these ratios. A lot of times when you purchase a camera or maybe you get your first DSLR or you're using a smartphone, a point and shoot, you don't really think about what is the aspect ratio of this camera? It's not something commonly asked but it's so incredibly important, so I want to start by taking a look at some popular camera options and what aspect ratios they are and what exactly does that mean?
