- [Instructor] Have you ever been asked to combine several photos together, or change the background color of an image? Your first instinct is to reach for a selection tool and oftentimes that works, don't get me wrong. to isolate can be quite a challenge. In this video I'd like to show you the blend if trick, So I have this ink image up and this was a little trickier to select with a conventional selection tool because of the nature of it, you know a lot of soft edges, a lot of you know frills. to the layers panel and I'm going to click on the fill or adjustment layer icon and I'm going to choose solid color and my boss decided she wants this on a blue background. a blue color, you know something like this and I'll go head and click OK, and I want the fill to be the background layer to a regular layer I'm just going to click on the lock icon Now I'm going to drag the fill below the ink layer and now we have our setup, you know the way we need it.
