- [Voiceover] Before the CS5 introduction of the Mixer Brush Photoshop's brushes couldn't be taken seriously as a natural media tool. Mediums like oil paint and oil pastels exhibit the ability of its supplied color to be blended, smeared and muddied. Prior to the Mixer Brush the only tool capable of any kind of color blending was the Smudge Tool. Compared to the Mixer Brushes blending capabilities, the Smudge Tool now looks highly dated. In this movie we'll discover the joy that is the Mixer Brush and learn how to paint and blend until you are deliriously laughing in an uncontrolled fit. So for this exercise I wanna take one of the tips that we created earlier which is the brizzle_tip and go into the world of the Mixer Brush. So I wanna go ahead and select the Mixer Brush and you'll see what happens, and I'll explain this in a second, you'll see when I select this, it's selected whatever the last tool that was being used as a Mixer Brush.
