Blending your sharpening effect

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to blend your sharpening effect with the original image, and this is a really important step if you want to get professional results. So what you'd want to do is double-click on the little slider icon on the right side of the layers panel in order to bring up the blending options dialog box. And this one works the same, so I can just go ahead and click over here in order to preview that area here inside the dialog box. And, I want you to notice this detail right there, I'm going to zoom in on it. See how we have this blue and this red edge right there? And notice, if I was to take the opacity value down to 0%, we're not really seeing those color artifacts nearly to the same extent. Notice if I click and hold, that's the sharp version of the image, with that big splash of yellow surrounded by purple, and then when I release, the yellow is there, but the purple disappears.
