- [Instructor] All right, so in this movie we're going to touch on the mythology of color management and the reality of the fact that you're going to need to brighten your image ever so slightly for print. All right, so the idea is supposed to be that if you accurately characterize your display and Photoshop is aware of that characterization then everything's going to go hunky dory. And that may very well be the case, if you have a monitor that cost say $1000 dollars or more, in which case you stand a good chance of being able to characterize it, or if you own an Apple Retina display of some form that's come out in the last five years. Apple has been absolutely knocking it out of the park where color characterization is concerned. I however, am working on an HP monitor right now, here on the PC.
