Capturing raw images and converting to DNG

- [Instructor] Now of all the file formats that we've seen so far, Camera Raw can accommodate JPEG files and TIFF files. So for example if I were to right-click on this TIFF file here inside bridge, I can choose open in Camera Raw, in order to apply some non-destructive modifications. However that doesn't hold true for PSD files, or PNG images and so if I right-click on this PNG file right here, I do not see an open in Camera Raw command. That said, you can go ahead and open that image inside Photoshop and modify it using the Camera Raw filter, if you so desire. But there's another group of file formats we haven't discussed yet, that Camera Raw, was born to accommodate. And those are raw photographs captured by digital camera. And if you're curious whether your camera supports a raw file format, then what you need to do is run a google search for Camera Raw format support and you will see this incredibly long list that starts with a bunch of Canon models, and as you can see here…
