Cloning vs. healing
- [Instructor] In this movie I'll show you the difference between cloning, which we've seen so far, and healing which is designed to more intelligently match the source data to its destination. And to get to the healing tools you click and hold on this bandaid right here, everyone of these first four tools uses healing technology and the one that's most similar to the clone the stamp tool is this second tool right here, the standard healing brush. And to show you how it works, I'll go ahead and create another new layer here inside the layers panel by dropping down to the little plus icon and alt or option clicking on it to force the display of the new layer dialogue box, I'll call this guy Eyes and I'll click okay. All right, now because this layer's empty you want to go up to the sample setting up here in the options bar and change it to current and below so it can see the shark and the background.
