Cloud documents

- The world of creative cloud is evolving and just made another leap forward with cloud documents. And it's cloud documents that will enable a lot of the power in Photoshop on the iPad. Because they'll be continually saved. Freeing you up from having to do the save operation yourself on the cloud so they'll be everywhere that you connect with Photoshop. So if your working on your device and you stop there you'll be able to continue on your desktop and so on. And there are so many other advantages. It will, I'm told, allow for really, really large files to be worked on. Huge files, I'm told, from that. Free of the limits that the desktop has. The Adobe service will be carrying the weight of that. And I guess they've created some super cool new way of working on the content on layers. But don't ask me about that because I really don't know for certain. But what we're going to look at here is a photo which has a few layers so I'm just going to turn some layers on and off in here so you can see the layers. And there's also a layer here which has a layer mask on it. Okay from there, and there's a layer group also, if I show you, there's not only a layer group, but there's some adjustment in there as well. So all of those different things. And now if we go across to the desktop version of Photoshop. You'll see that exact same file, just here. Okay so we've got all of those layers. There's the layer mask. We've got the layer group, just here with the individual adjustment layers as well, and there's blending. And all sorts going on in there. You may well see PSDC. Okay, in the title bar, just there. You won't often see PSDC around anywhere else. It's just Photoshop's way of recognizing its a cloud document. All we should ever think about is it's still a PSD that we're used to working with already. If I make any changes just here, corrective cloud will synchronize them. I can then then pick them up on the iPad and carry on working from there. Which means I can go home early this afternoon. So I'll see you in the next chapter.
