Collaborating with coworkers and the cloud
- By now, we all know the story of the creative cloud. Adobe switched its business model from a buy if you like it box product to a subscribe when you need it dynamic app. Think of it as Adobe's version of the natural shift from mix tapes to Spotify, only more graphic-y. In any event, you know the moment that Adobe shifted to a subscription model they'd start bandying about the word cloud, cloud this and cloud that, we're all so big and fluffy. And as soon as you got the cloud involved, Adobe would begin encouraging us to collaborate with each other, and that's where the libraries panel comes in. Drag an asset, a smart object for example, into the libraries panel, and it becomes available to other images, to other Adobe programs like Illustrator and InDesign, and to other people who you invite to collaborate.
