Color management in Lightroom

- If you have not watched the color management sections that come earlier in this course, you need to do that. There's a lot of theory there that you have to understand to know what we're talking about here in Lightroom. Lightroom does allow a completely color managed workflow and I say that with all the caveats of Photoshop's color managed workflow. A color managed workflow is only going to be as good as the profiling and calibration that you've done. If you do not have a good profile of your monitor, if you do not have a good profile of your papers and your printer, then color management's not really going to help you. I would also argue that if you're working on a computer like this one, you're not going to be able to get a good monitor profile. I cannot run a successful color managed workflow on this laptop or on an iMac, any screen with a really glossy coating to it. All of those make color management very, very difficult.
