Combine blend modes and animations

- [Instructor] Many of PhotoShop's key compositing techniques such as blend modes can be very powerful when used on their own but when combined with other features you can create a whole range of possibilities for interesting visual effects. In this project from the Bear River title sequence we'll design an animated graphic that takes advantage of a blend mode neutral color and then combine it with another video clip using a different blend mode neutral color. So in this file I have a video clip of a river that's been tinted blue and then I have a layer called river line and if I turn off that video layer you can see that the river line layer is just a white curving line on black and that line is just meant to represent what a river might look like when drawn on a map. Since I have the blend mode for the river line layer set to multiply, multiply does not show white and that lets the video of the river show through in those white areas.
