- [Instructor] While backgrounds and textures are used differently, you'll have better luck finding backgrounds and textures if you looked for both at the same time. Once you've found a good file source, of course, you can decide how you wanna use the file whether it's best as a background or a texture or even sometimes both. Sources for pre-made background files range from Google searches to commercial stock websites to specialty libraries that specialize in backgrounds and textures. You can search Google for terms like open source backgrounds and textures or textures stock photography or free backgrounds. So that's a source for finding background files, although free backgrounds should be used with caution. Stock and microstock libraries are also a good place to find background files. A couple of specialty libraries that I think are particularly worth having a look at are Belle Fleur, Flypaper Textures, and Kathleen Clemons. Let's have a look at some of these options.
