- In this movie, we're going to see how we can apply Upright Correction to an image, to fix the inevitable kind of distortion that happens when you tilt your camera upwards. This photograph, taken from street level, so inevitably, the camera is tilted upwards, and this is the result you get out of the camera. Now, in order to do this, I will be using the camera raw filter and probably the biggest point I want to make here is, the camera raw filter, it's not just for camera raw. Yes, you will get a better result, if you actually work with native camera raw files, and if you're not doing that already, I strongly encourage you to do so. This image was captured as a camera raw image, but, I've just made a lower resolution version of it for convenience when demonstrating this technique. And it will still work. So, what I need to do is convert the background layer to a smart object, and then I can come to the filter menu, and choose the camera raw filter. This takes me to the camera raw…
