Correcting the default spot meter exposure

- This is about as back lit as you can get, I'm shooting really directly into the sun. So this should, by now you should just know this, this is like shooting someone in front of a window, Heather is going to go dark. So as we talked about in the last movie, I can Matrix meter this scene. So let me just frame this up and focus, I love that palm tree in the distance, and if I Matrix meter, sure enough, everything in the foreground is dark. So I can dial in some exposure compensation. But one thing I like about this particular camera is I got really quick access to the spot meter so I'm just going to go ahead and flip over to the spot meter and take this shot and that's, that's nice. But now I'm thinking that the spot meter really is blowing out the background too much. Don't forget that exposure compensation still works. So though I've spot metered, then now I think the spot meter has gone too far, I can, if I want, back off on that. So I'm just going to dial in some under exposure and…
