Create the Pattern in Illustrator

- [Instructor] In this two part project, I'd like to show you how we can create an interesting pattern in Illustrator and then animate it in Photoshop. Something like this. Starting out in Illustrator where in this part I'm going to create the pattern. I'll create a new document that is 800 pixels square. I'll create a background layer. Choose my rectangle tool and draw a rectangle on that background. Want to make sure that that is filled with black. and has a stroke of none. I press cmd or ctrl + r to turn on my rulers. With the rectangle still selected I can see its center point. I'll draw guides to mark that center point. I now lock the background layer. And create a new layer above it. I choose the ellipse tool and draw myself an ellipse like so. I want to make sure that this has a wide stroke of one point. I'll move the top of the ellipse to the center point of my art board.
