Create an abstract background

- [Speaker] Let's see how we can combine Photoshop and Illustrator to create an abstract desktop background. Here's the finish version in Photoshop. I am going to start in Illustrator and I want to create a document that is 1920x1018 pixels. I'm now going to use my pencil tool and create two fairly random paths. There's one and there's the other. Let's now press Command 8, to select both. Come to the object menu, blend, make. Now the result that we get will depend upon the blending options. I'll double click on the blend tool and we can change the number of steps. If you started out with smooth color or specified distance, then switch to this option and I'm now going to try 220. Now, to throw in some randomness here, as if it's not random enough already, I'm going to create a third path. And this one is going to be an arc, something like that. Then, I'll select the blend and the arc, return to the object menu and choose blend, replace spine. And that's going to give the whole thing…
