Create an antique look

- [Nigel French] In this example, I am going to use texture to create an antique look for this photo. And I'm creating texture from a combination of fibers and Ocean Ripple. And that's also combining with a treatment that I'm applying to the image through the camera raw filter. This is how my image begins. So the first thing that I'd like to do is convert the background layer to a Smart Object so that I can apply filters to it in a nondestructive way. Now I'm going to create an empty layer above that and then convert this empty layer to a Smart Object also and on this currently empty layer I'm going to apply fibers to start with. So from the filter menu render > fibers. And if I bring my variance and my strength all the way down with the sliders pretty much all the way to the left my fibers almost look like animal hide. So I'm going to go with these options but for a completely different effect I could raise both of these sliders to the middle. But I'm going to go with something like…
