- Now that you have created your new Photoshop document it is time to start working on our design. Let's begin by creating the background using fill layers go into the new adjustment layer icon at the top notice the first category. These are failures they generate either solid colors, gradients or patterns select solid color the color picker will come up from here you can select any color that you want. It is crucial to understand the three components of the HSB color mode to better use this color picker. The three components are hue, saturation, and brightness notice that that H radio button is checked this is the default setting and it's usually how I work.
