Create a circular pattern with Polar Coordinates
- [Instructor] I'm going to show you how we can create a circular pattern using the Polar Coordinates Filter. This is the finished version, and here is where we begin. If I just pop back to the finished version you will see that there are actually four copies of this image. If I were to apply the Polar Coordinates Filter directly to this image, you can see that the result is not a very pleasing one. There are a number of things that we need to do to this image in order for this to work. Firstly, I need to work with a square canvas. I need to increase the size of my canvas, and because I want the added canvas to be added as transparency, I'm going to unlock my background layer. I'll now come to the Image menu, and choose Canvas Size. Lock the image at the bottom left hand corner, and make the height the same as the width. Next, I need to copy the image. To help me, I am going to create a New Guide Layout of four columns. I want to make sure that all of my Snap To options are turned on.…
