Create a glowing-edges effect
- [Instructor] The glowing edges filter, is one of the several filters in Photoshop that look interesting but you really struggle to, incorporate it into your work flow. And find a real world usage for it. Well, I think I found one. This is the look that I'm trying to achieve, I just want to bring out the edges, on this poppy, and I'm doing that with the glowing edges filter. Let's see how this is done, here is my beginning state and- the interesting thing about this technique is that we will be applying the filter to a channel, rather than to a layer. But first of all, let's see what the problem is and why I took this approach. I'll convert my background layer to a smart object, and then come to the filter menu, and to stylize, glowing edges. And this is the result that we get which, you know it looks interesting, but, when are we ever going to use this. Anyway, we can experiment with these different options, I'm going to go with this settings, an edge width of two, and a brightness…
