Create a pencil sketch with the Fragment filter
- [Instructor] Here's another method to achieve a pencil sketch effect, and this one is going to feature the fragment filter. This is the finished version, I'll switch to the starting state, and I'll begin by right-clicking to the right of my layer name, and converting to a smart object. Now because this image was shot on a dull day, the first thing I want to do is brighten things up before we go ahead and use the fragment filter. So I'll come to the image menu and choose Adjustments, and I can apply my shadows and highlight as a smart filter. In addition, I want this to be gray scale, so I'll return to my Adjustments and apply a black and white adjustment, again applying it as a smart filter. And here, I might want to experiment with the different presets, going to go with a high contrast red. And then to increase the contrast a bit more, I'll return once more to my Adjustments and to Levels, where I'll just bring in my black point and my white point closer to the center. So now with…
