- [Narrator] Photoshop's mixer brush can be a lot of fun and very effective when you need to create a textured background, especially for text messages. And this is something that we can create from scratch in Photoshop. So I'm going to come to my starting state, where we have just the text and the background layer, which is filled with white. Let's turn off the text, and I'm going to add a blank layer above that. I'll come and choose my mixer brush. I'll make the foreground color black. The behavior that I want is very wet, light mix. Now I need to choose an appropriate brush, and the one that I want to use. I'm actually going to view my brushes as a small list. And the one that I want to choose is flat fan high bristle count. Now, I'm using a Wacom tablet with this, so I get this interactive preview of my brush behavior. It does still work if you're using a mouse or a trackpad, though it's obviously not quite as malleable as working with a brush. I should also mention that this can…
