Creating the HDR file in Adobe Camera Raw

- While Photoshop has its own HDR technology, there's another piece of technology built into Adobe Camera Raw to create a high dynamic range, 16-bit file with a floating bit depth, it's not quite the same as the 32-bit modes available in Photoshop but it's quite useful particularly if you want to stay with a raw file. Let me give you a quick overview. Here's the finished result of a nice wide shot of this forest here and a monastery in Hong Kong. What I'm going to do is jump into my Brackets folder here and you'll see a wide range of brackets and what's changed is the shutter speed giving us different amounts of light. With everything selected, I'll right click on the images and choose Open in Camera Raw. Now with all the images selected, you can do the standard things you would in Camera Raw. Jump to the Lens tab and apply lens profile corrections to remove some of the distortion. It automatically recognized the lens that was used. Maybe go to Sharpening and hold down the option or…
