Creating and cropping a new artboard

- In this movie, I'll show you how to create a new artboard, and how to crop it as well. So, notice here in the layers panel that I have no artboard assigned to this image. So, unlike in Illustrator, where you always have at least one artboard, in Photoshop you can have as few as none. And so as a result, if I turn off these background items here, I see the checkerboard pattern, which indicates transparency. And, if I were to go up to the window menu and choose the properties command to bring up the properties panel, I have no option for assigning a background. Alright, but let's say I want an artboard where this document is concerned. Then, I'd go ahead and turn those layers back on. And next, you want to select whatever layers you want to put inside the artboard. Now, that does not have to be all of them, by the way. You can have layers inside and outside of artboards inside Photoshop. But, I'm just going to go ahead and select all the layers by shift clicking on the top one. And…
