Creating a dashed or dotted border

- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to trace our rounded rectangle with a dotted border. Alright, now as you can see my border layer is selected and my save tool is still active, as well, which allows me to see these fill and stroke options up here in the options bar. And compare that to what happens if I switch back to the Rectangular Marquee tool, at which point, Photoshop hides my path outline and it also switches out the settings up here in the options bar. And so if you want to be able to see those fill and stroke settings, then you have to select either one of the shape tools, like so, or you can select the black arrow above it, which Photoshop calls the Path Selection tool. Either way, you'll be able to see your fill and stroke options. Now notice if I click on the Fill swatch right there, I can fill this shape with a gradient, if I so desire. And I can also fill it with a pattern. And then it's just a matter of selecting the pattern that I want to use. In my case…
