Creating duotones with a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer

- We explored the concept of a duotone earlier. It's a black and white image with a hint of color. The hue saturation adjustment layer is also a great way to create this. And you can use one or multiple techniques to get the finished result. In this case, if we look at the end state, you'll see what's happening. First up, we had our initial adjustment and what happened here is different color changes were applied to different parts. Notice how there's some changes here and we pull down the saturation in both the blues and the golds and reds. That's pretty flexible. Then a second adjustment was applied to change the color. Let's put this to work. We'll start by adding the HSL adjustment layer. Now with the odd image tool, I can click on the blues in the sky to make my initial selection. Let's double click here to hide layers. There's the blue. I'm going to pull that blue down a bit, but broaden the range to affect…
