Creating layer comps
- [Instructor] In this movie we're going to learn how to make layer comps. And it's kind of tricky to tell you what the main advantage is with layer comps without showing you, but we'll see that as we progress on with the course but they are very useful. They can be used by other Photoshop files, they can also be used by InDesign, as well, if you're in that whole environment. They begin by going to the Window menu and by choosing Layer Comps and a panel will open, like so. To create a new layer comp all you need to do is setup the visibility in the layers panel. So for example, if I turned off the visibility for everything apart from backpack one, here, and the background layer because I do actually want that, just here. We can then go to this plus at the bottom of the layer comps panel, click on that and you'll get this dialogue, like so. Now, what you name it is entirely up to you but I'm just going to call mine BP1…
