Creating a library from a document

- [Instructor] Now that you know what types of assets can be stored in a library, let's take a look at a way to automate the creation of a library from an existing document. From the library panel flyout menu, I'll choose create new library from document. Photoshop will look at all of the layers, and then it will add to those layers that are appropriate. You might be looking at the Route and 66, course those are actually shape layers, not text layers, so it's not going to add those character styles, but it should add the layer styles as well as the gradients. I'll click on create new library in order to create it. And as we can see, it now has these three different layer styles. Of course I could always click on any of these shape layers, and then if I wanted to add additional options, for example the foreground color, I can go ahead and do so. In addition, if there were any smart objects, Photoshop would've converted them…
