Creating a professional quality sepia tone

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll demonstrate a slightly more time-consuming, but ultimately, better method for colorizing an image that generates what I'm calling a professional-quality sepia tone. And it's the difference between this, which we created in the previous movie, and this, and the key distinction between these two images is that the second one has much more intense shadows. So again, this is what we got from the previous movie, and this is what we're going for this time around. So the first step is to create a custom black-and-white image, just as we discussed in the previous chapter. And for my part, I went ahead and created a channel mixer adjustment layer, as we're seeing right here. And notice that it's weighted heavily toward blue, so I turned the monochrome checkbox on, of course, and then I took the blue value up to 60%. I've got a red value of just 10%, and my green value is 43%, meaning that my total is 113%, and it's so high because I relied heavily on that…
