Creating a soft, diffuse glow with grain
- [Instructor] A fast and easy way to give an image a soft glow is to use Camera Raw as a filter. I'll convert this to a smart object by choosing convert for smart filters, then choose filter again, and Camera Raw as a filter. In the basic panel I'll scroll down. And I want to decrease the amount of clarity. And I'm going to be pretty heavy-handed on this. Maybe somewhere down around negative 60. And then I'm also going to use the D-slider, moving it over to the left in order to increase the amount of haze in the image. Then I'm going to use the contrast slider, and just add a little bit of contrast into the image. I'll move over to the effects panel. And I want to add a bit of grain into this image. I'll make sure I add a lot to make sure it's visible in the video after it's compressed. So I'll also increase the size as well as the roughness of the grain. Then we'll add a quick edge effect.
