- [Instructor] You may recall when we looked at this image that there was a foreground, a subject, and a background. Each of these is a plane of existence. And if we take a look at this, it's quite clear that there are three distinct objects. What's not clear is the relative depth between them. So, this is where things can come into play. You could do this as a sketch or digitally. But what I've decided is that the distance between the foreground and the subject is pretty minimal. After all, they're standing in the grass. It's not like it's a large area in front of them. But I do want a little bit of depth so that as the camera moves, you'll notice a subtle variation of the organic material in front of them. I have chosen to place a little bit more of a distance between them and the background so we could see the brick behind them.
