Creating a synthetic snow effect

- Alright now, one of the suspicious things about our composition so far is if we're to believe the background seen is snowing, but somehow she's just avoiding all of that snow, not a single speck is in front of her. Which is why, I'm gonna show you how to tie the scene together with a bunch of synthetic snow-flakes. Now, there's all kinds of ways to create snow out there and it typically involves the add Noise Filter along with Gaussian Blur and a levels of Adjustment layer. We're gonna bypass all that stuff because while that works at very low-resolutions it does not work very well for high-resolution images like this one here. So instead, we're gonna start with the Mezzotint Filter. Alright so, I'll go and switch to the composition so far. I'm gonna click on the fur layer to make it active, and then I'm gonna create a new layer by pressing Control Shift N, or Command Shift N on the Mac and I'll call this layer snow and I'll click okay.
