Custom black-and-white conversions
- [Instructor] While you can convert your images to black and white using Camera Raw or Camera Raw as a filter, you can also use the black and white adjustment layer in Photoshop. And then you can customize that conversion with masking or making changes to opacity or even blend modes. From the bottom of the layers panel, I'll choose the black and white adjustment layer and let's try some of the different presets. If I apply the blue filter, we get a very different looking image than if I were to try the green filter. And that's because both of these presets are changing the way that the color ranges in the image are being converted to gray scale. There's also an option to auto convert. And of course, we can go in and change any of these sliders at any time. Because the image is previewed in gray scale, it might be easier to select the on screen adjustment tool, and then click in the image area where you want to either…
