Decontaminating colors
- [Instructor] All right in this movie we're gonna take our sometimes missing sometimes very fragile even jagged hair and we're gonna turn it into this where we can see down into the individual tendrils. We're going to achieve this frankly amazing effect using a second pass of this select and mask workspace. I'll also show you an option called decontaminate colors. Now the thing to know about select and mask is it behaves like a static filter. So once you apply it the selection or layer mask is permanently modified. So notice that we're not seeing a select and mask item here in the layers panel on which we could double click for example, and that would be true even if we were working with a smart object. So you always apply the effects of the select and mask workspace as a static IE permanent modification. However, that can often be a good thing because it means you can apply the command multiple times to the same layer mask and get different results. So I'm gonna go ahead and select…
