Designing a custom shape in Illustrator

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to create a more complex custom shape. Namely, this 20-tooth gear. And we're going to do so with the help of Adobe Illustrator. And the reason is that even though Photoshop's vector-based drawing tools are pretty darn great, especially for a program that is first and foremost an image editor, they don't compare to the wealth of options that are available to you in Illustrator. So I'm going to go ahead and switch over to that program. And notice that I've already drawn a couple of circles here. This first circle, the black one, the one that has the black fill anyway, has a dotted orange stroke around it.
