Distorting a tip with Brush Projection
- [Voiceover] Imagine you are in a dark room with a flashlight. When you point the beam directly at a wall, a circular area of light is cast upon it. As you angle this beam, the circular light shape transitions to an ellipse, due to the tilted angle of the flashlight relative to the wall. Now imagine painting with a brush that distorts the captured tip in the same manner. That is brush projection, and Photoshop can do it. Let's project some brush tips. So, here we are in here, and I'm going to use a tool that will really highlight the look of this, and that's down here, it's called "text". Right here. I'm gonna reduce the size a bit. And interestingly, it makes the word text. So this tool just by default will give us a straight-on look at the word text. Okay, let's go ahead, I'm gonna clear off the screen, and let's open the brush panel, and in Shape Dynamics, right here at the bottom, you'll find Brush Projection, so I'm gonna go ahead and turn that on, and let's go ahead and try…
