- [Tutor] In this movie, I'll show you how to whiten teeth using a combination of the Dodge and Sponge tools. Now I'm loving this kid, he's got a very expressive face, dental hygiene however does not appear to be his number one priority but that's okay because we can make things better in Photoshop. Now notice down here, fairly low in the toolbox that we have these painting tools right here. Starting with the Dodge tool and they're all brush tools by the way. The Dodge tool brightens pixels, the Burn tool darkens pixels and the Sponge tool affects their saturation. So you can either increase the saturation, which would be bad in this case or decrease the saturation, which is exactly what we want. However, they are all destructive tools. They change the very pixels that you paint on and so I'm going to go ahead and jump this kid's teeth to a different layer. By selecting the object selection tool, which is…
